Books by Reading Level
PS 34 teachers use the Fountas & Pinnell Text Level Gradient, which helps teachers track the reading progress of students. These guided reading levels are used nationwide for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade and go from levels A - Z. To develop strength as a reader, children need lots of time to read many books that are “just right” for their abilities.
With the help of our teachers, we have put together a reading list by level. By clicking on the image of the books, you will go to the Amazon Affiliate* listing for the book. Books can also be found at the Brooklyn Public Library, scholastic.com, or at many local bookstores.
